I really hope they're identified and severely punished.

Something inside me is telling me those two women had got the dog away from a terrible situation and had abandoned him somewhere where he would definitely be found by a member of the public. Did you notice he was wearing a coat!!

Thank goodness he is now safe in the hands of people who will love and care for him before he can be rehomed.

My hope is that the women are not at risk from aggressive 'partners' who now know they 'stole' the dog.

You don't even know that the dog was theirs, they could have taken it from someone who they know was mis-treating it and put it somewhere they knew it would be found.

It's sad to say, but had they rang up the RSPCA to ask them to take the dog in they would have be told there was no room / they could not help. Sadly, this abandonment has proved a better way to get the dog a shelter space. Figure that?

So why had they not reported the situation if that was the case and why did they not let someone know the dog was there?

My guess is (maybe for their safety) they wanted to remain totally completely anonymous ... Unfortunately the cameras havn't allowed that, which I hope, (if it was their intention to save the dog) doesn't cause them any trouble.

I feel as the dog was wearing a coat, was tied outside a public building and not dumped on a motorway etc shows signs that these ladies had the dogs interests at heart.

Not wishing to cast aspersions, but they do look a little rough. Perhaps they took the dog from someone who wouldn't take to kindly to being reported?

They looked up and saw the CCTV, several times, they must have know they'd been seen and that someone would find the dog before too long, otherwise they would have legged it as soon as they spotted the camera.

But calling them 'lowlife scumbags' when all you have is the Daily Fail's take on the story is really quite unfair until they are proven to be.

It's easy to come to conclusions especially when biased by the scummy media ( I do not like the papers). What people have said above though seems to be more true, most 'scumbags' would probably have left the dog to die, I have a gut feeling that they have taken the dog out of the situation but want to remain anonymous - and shelters are full so maybe this was a last ditch attempt to save the pup.
  • and of course everything the daily mail publishes is the gods honest truth......
