Dishwasher cycle getting longer

I have a dishwasher bought 5 months ago - a John Lewis-branded AEG Electrolux slimline. If I run it on "Auto" cycle it takes about an hour and a half (the length of the cycle is shown on a digital display when I press the "Auto" button at the start of the cycle).
The cycle length on the Auto setting varies slightly from wash to wash, and I have noticed that it seems to be steadily creeping upwards. When I first had the machine it was taking anywhere between 87 and 92 mins, today I've got it counting down from 98.
Any idea why this might be?
Thanks in advance.

Possibly taking longer to drain. Check there's no crud building up in the bottom (there's usually a plastic cover you can pull off and you can remove the filter and clean it with some hot water)0
