My reasons are simple, if you can't afford to pay the money for CS, then you can't afford to go on holiday. So you don't need a passport...!

That's the one that will kill him. He is married to a travel agent.:D

Your case is not a great one, and if they have an order for sale then it should be enforced, and if not, then you need to know why not... If they will not enforce it, then ask them to get a charge on the house...! It effectively wipes the debt, but means he can never do anything with it, is this a possibility i wonder... Makes for an interesting situation that is for sure...

I am awaiting a decision on enforcing the Order of Sale. I suspect there is doubt because they got a Costs Order as well - half the house belongs to one of his girlfriends (he was clever/daft enough, depending on how you look at it, to give her half) and it isn't worth a lot (deprived area generally, house in a particularly deprived area of the deprived area!) and I think that once they give the girlfriend her half, pay the costs and pay me, there'll be nothing left. The CSA is not the only 'person' with charges against the property (although the other 'person' comes after the CSA in terms of priority). My understanding is that they have to be able to pay off everyone...which is unlikely to happen. Not the CSA's fault - and unlikely to change in the short-medium term. If house prices increase over time and no further charges appear it might work. He's won, I'm afraid. I shall be asking about driving licenses and commital next...not giving up!

Someone else could be paying for the holiday - your parents may live abroad, and pay for you to visit them

or you may travel for work

yes, someone else could be paying for a holiday but the principal is the same, surely? If you can't be bothered to support your children, having a holiday really is a priviledge too far, isn't it?

All points that could be made when the application is made to the court AFTER the LO has already been issued...

And if you had proof family lived abroad then you may not get it removed, but you would have to provide substantial proof i would think...!

I am in a slightly different situation, i LIVE abroad, so they couldn't withdraw mine as they would be depriving me from returning home... ;) I also hold a Norwegian License, so they can't remove that... ;)

So it would be OK for the NRP to accept money from their parents, but not pay towards their own child.
That's a bit of a double standard, if ever I heard one.

Gave the CSA another ring today as I hadn't heard anything and was told they were not dealing with the case.
As it had now gone to court it was out of they hands. I was told to wait for correspondence from the bailiff, as they would want any information I have. And that with this correspondence would be the details of the person now dealing with case, and who I should contact if I needed to know anything.

The lady had no idea who this would be.

Can anyone shed any light on this ?

I get more confused with every phone call.

    TIA omo

    Quick update.
I have just received a phone call from an enforcement agency. They are sending me out a questionnaire to fill out. It will also have the phone number I am to use for all future contact.
