Are mobile credit card machines a good choice?

Hello everyone,
I am looking into getting one of the mobile credit card machines (the ones you plug into your phone). But would like to get some feedback from people that are already using them.
Can you tell me which brand you use? Are you satisfied with it?
I am currently using a verifone stationary, but it's quite expensive compared to the mobile POS hardware that is out there. Has anyone else thought about or done a switch from a stationary to a mobile POS?
Would appreciate any advice on this!
Thanks!
Lissyjo

In the UK there's only one and its invite only at the moment.

In the US, there are plenty of variants (Square, Paypal, etc).

But even then, a mobile one charges about 2.5 - 2.75%. A stationary one can be much lower, depending on your amount of transactions and the value of your transactions. I know the local shop get charged less than 2%.
