Thanks for the replies again guys!
I understand what you people are saying about my education, but while I'm in education I want to earn some money! I don't actually want a career in the subject I'm currently studying (IT), I'm just there because I haven't got nothing else to do! I want to earn money by investments in other companies (own a %) or funding my own companies...
Thanks,

Then stop wasting your time and drop out. If you don't have an escape if you fail (education leading to an IT job) then you'll be far more motivated to succeed.0 -
. I'm very money motivated and will do anything to become a millionaire.
Kieran I was exactly like that when I was 17. I guarantee you will soon change in a few years.
Life aint about money, you don't need a lot to enjoy life, my advice would be do something you enjoyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

You need to stop studying it, then. What's the point of working toward qualifications in this field if you're just going to do something else after the exams?0 -
My parents won't let me drop out that's the thing. I need something to be up and running in the background and generating an income to drop out. This is my problem

All due respect, attitude and ability is far more important than a degree. I know this is not popular but it is incredibly true. If you have the ability and motivation and don't wish to pursue a 'closed' industry (medicine, scientists, lawyer etc) then you will get to the top with or without a degree.
As for a business idea, I don't think you can expect someone to give you one. You can either pick literally anything from the yellowpages and run with it until that million pound idea comes along. Most people have ideas at some point, they just don't run with them.
I personally would look to the internet, it is cheap and would allow you to keep costs low while you learn the ropes/ make !!!! ups.0 -

Four days ago, my suggestion was to get to the library or a bookshop, and see what literature you could find on investing, entrepeneurship, etc. How much of this have you done?0 -
Yes, I agree with Daedalus. If you want something so bad, then you can get it. And for googler, believe it or not nothing... But I have a very good valid reason. On Friday I went under the knife to have my right Ankle/Foot to be re-structured and have only been discharged from hospital. So its pretty much impossible to get access to a library or something along them lines at the moment.
And, yes I have figured out no one is going to give me a business idea. Im not expecting a unique idea to become a millionaire off. I'm happy to run a small company that will just generate me small amounts of revenue so I can just add it to the my savings account for a bigger investment.
That is mainly what I'm trying to do, make a small investment(s) to generate some income over the next year which I can then move onto a bigger investment.
Thanks,

I've read this quite a few times (parts of this). But one thing that I have found it the thread is about people saving money for their retirement. Which is great, because there are a lot of advice on there but I'm mainly seeking advice or tips in short term investments that will generate me income... So basically like a daily job.
Thanks
