    not quite, often during quiter time they will run bingo games at a loss, just to get customer in the building, most of the profit comes from the slot machines.

    There are too many variables to be precise.

    I could ask my FIL who is a professor and chair of mathematics at one of the best unis in the world for his subject but I wouldn't waste my time on you since I don't actually care.

    Conversely monkeys (or similar) have been known to pick stocks better than fund managers!

    LOL, yes I know, read the "Monkey with a Pin" book.

    Stock picking is a bit different to running a company though, and figuring our house edges, I am sure you would agree. I have not heard of any successful company that is run by a monkey (none that admits to it, anyway).
