Sadly, after Christmas will probably be the best time to find a good selection in the local rescue centre.

Unfortunately you're totally correct. Our CPL shelter is overwhelmed each year in late December-early January.

:( I sooo wish I could have another but wee cat loathes other cats & unfortunately fights with them (incl big cat).....

I have been thinking about a semi-feral as we've a huge field behind us that's over-run with mice (big cat tries his hardest but can't get them all) - I have somewhere to put shelter and would happily feed / look after it but a) wee cat goes in there so there would still be the fighting issue and b) I worry that some day I may move ....
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

We have this too. Madam hates the ground other puddies walk on.
  • Also a good place to find decent cat rescues is to start here http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html
