Is the Tesco Credit card with HSBC or Royal Bank of Scotland??

I recently cleared my other credit card (MINT) so that I could transfer the balance from my Tesco credit card and take advantage of 0% interest for 12 months. The MINT offer letter states that transfers from other RBS cards are not permitted. Nowhere on my Tesco statement is there mention of RBS, only HSBC yet when I try online, my account number is rejected as being invalid. As you may know if you have a Tesco credit card, their customer services are impossible to get hold of and cost a fortune. I have done several online searches and it appears that Tesco is no longer in partnership with RBS - but are they still linked??? I wouldn't have bothered clearing the MINT card if I had known that I couldn't do the transfer! Is there anything I can do about this??

I may be wrong but I don't think they have anything to do with either of them. It used to be an RBS card but I believe they've now seperated and Tesco runs it itself now.
Where does it mention HSBC? The only thing I can think of is that they might use HSBC as their bank for those payment slips on the bottom of the credit card statement?0 -
That's exactly what I thought! I have now at last managed to get through to MINT, who say there should be no problem in making the transfer, but for some reason it's not happening online and will have to be done over the phone. Phew! (And yes, HSBC is just mentioned on the Tesco paying in slip)0

In was a joint venture with RBS until 2008, Tesco then bought them out and now run it themselves.0

Good, presumably the online system just hasn't been updated so thought Tesco was still part of RBS then.0 -

This is good to know, it's been a bit of a grey area in my mind with regard to the ability to transfer NatWest/RBS balances to Tesco, I assume you can now? Good news if so.0

HSBC is the clearing bank, if you can't process a BT online with the RBS details, you'll need to call customer services. The details can definitely be processed.
Staffing issues mean that getting through is nigh on impossible sometimes, early morning between 7-9am is the best bet.0
