astra interior boot latch...can`t find it...

hi,
sorry if this sounds stupid. i have just bought an astra ls 2003. it has loads of mod cons eg speed camera warning. sensor wipers etc. but i just can`t locate a latch for springing the boot from inside.
its seem crazy to put loads of features but not a simple boot latch.
am i being silly or don`t the astras have one???

If there is one it should be obviously marked. It would also be shown clearly in the owner manual. If you can't find one perhaps there isn't one.

As above re.handbook,if not local dealer,or google Astra owners clubs,they have very good forums for all kinds of advice,unless a fellow owner posts on here of course!!

Take a look at the owners clubs anyway its surprising what you can learn about your car and you dont need to join,if you dont want,you will still get access to any info you may ever need for free.

Oh ,forgot to say i go on loads of these sites and have never been disappointed.

Possibly, as has been suggested, there isn't one. My daughter has a Corsa and there isn't, boot can be opened either with central locking(plip) or key. My Meriva hasn't, can only be opened with central locking(plip).
Does it unlock/lock with the remote plip on the Astra?
