Hi, Myself and my girlfriend recently opened up the fireplace on our 1930's house. We intend to use this as an open fire to begin, and perhaps install a woodburner later. Sounds about right, worth reading buidling regs part J for the wood burner, fitted 3 myself now, lined the chimney to give peace of mind and better draw, wouldn't be without it, even get near it some nights if I can prise the dogs off the rug!:)
