"CO-OP GROUP" Bank Statement entry????

Hi,

Does anyone have a Co-Op bank account and if so, do you get any withdrawal entries on your bank statment's which follow the theme of CO-OP GROUP xxxxxx ???

The x's appear as random numbers.

I cannot seem to find anything on the internet about entries like this, and them do not seem to relate to anything??

yes I do, I have a saver account and a current acount.

I don't have withdrawal entries like that.

How frequent are they? What amounts (ie are they the same or do they differ). I also shop at different co-op stores and STILL don't get those withdrawls.

Give the bank a bell and ask what they are

Crazy idea here, but have you thought about ringing Co-Op bank and asking them?

I often buy CO-OP own brand super strength lager from CO-OP stores using a CO-OP Bank credit card and the entries appear as "CO-OP GROUP XXXXXX & location" on my online statements

The debit card entries should be the same , except they don't bother with the location

The XXXXXX relates to the branch of the store - CO-OP use 6 digits , Tesco and Sainsburys use 4 digits although not all Sainsburys , ASDA , CO-OP and Morrisons use this

Rang them earlier......exactly as you described. It would be helpful if they put the location on as standard though!
