Our all-in-one has died and we need a reasonable basic printer for home stuff...

But, how can you check the cost of the cartridges - for example if one cartridge is £6 and another is £15, how can you calculate which is the better deal without information on how many pages you will get out of it - I can't see this information anywhere...

I'd rather spend the money getting something that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg every time we need to put ink in it, but I'm a bit in the dark at the moment....
  • One of the best budget printers is the epson r240.

    see this review: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/labs/83648/epson-stylus-photo-r240.html.

Can be bought on https://www.cclonline.com for just over £50.

Compatible ink cartridges can be bought for less than £3.

    Cheers,

This site is offering the cheapest hp printers available on the market. They are remanufactured but the quality is excellent. They also have auctions via ebay with many going up on auction daily. The printers are worth more than £100 but sell for as little as £30 on their site.

Take a look at the horrific negatives BEFORE you buy from belkoo.com on their ebay site, the handle is *belkoo* (including the asterisks). my ebay ID is johng7731 have a look at my about me page and you the jury decide.
