BROTHER DCP-110 all in 1 USB Printer
Over the last 7 years i've usualy bought either Lexmark or Epson, Epson being the favourite with ink costs but recently got fed up with almost annual replacement printer due to internal failure.
I bought a Brother DCP - 110 3 in one Printer Scanner and Coppier factory reconditioned 12 month garuntee
It looks as good as new But it is Brother Reconditioned
£42:00
individual Ink cart's appx £4 but only replace the one thats empty
Ive been using it now daily for 2 month's and still at least 50% of ink remaining

Hi Leadplayer,
where did you get your reconditioned brother printer from?0 -
Brother sells reconditioned printers on Ebay. I think the seller name is brother uk.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
the brother printer looks good but i am after just a basic everyday printer for home.
Anybody know of any good deals at the mo?0 -
This doesn't answer the previous question but belongs in this thread:
I got sick of the cost of printing catalogues and ran through two or three colour lazer printers as an alternative. It seems the cheapest refill, if you have time, is raw powder poured straight into the old cartridge. You can do it about three times before the quality breaks down and you have to buy a compatible cartridge and start again. The cartridges are designed to be as difficult as possible to refill. Usually you have to make a hole, pour the powder in, and tape it over, as well as replacing the cut-out chip.
By my second worn-out printer I was getting more interested in how to buy the things and asked one of the powder firms what they recommended for easy refill. The answer 2 years ago was a Samsung. It may be different now. But the general advice of finding a powder supplier and asking their advice remains.
I don't know if liquid ink sellers are so helpful, or whether replacement ink works just about as well and as easily in all inkjet printers. Maybe this is part of the answer to the previous post-er's question after all.
PS.
Incidentally, Samsungs do over-heat if you try to use them to the full; paper wraps round the rollers if you try to do full colour double sided too often. Tonertopup weren't in a position to advise me about this as they just get feedback about toner and top-up.0 -

Thats what I use mine for everyday home use its as cheap as chips to run with good quality easy scanning and the ability to scan forms then fill them in and print out completed
Along with the added bonus of memory card readers to print out your photo's without using a pc if you want ( it prints out a scan sheet so you know whats on the card )
And as quoted above readily available on ebay

Attention !! i have been down this road before (tw3ice) Settled on a canon mp360s. cost £100 but the cartridges are cheaper by half compared to hp lex epsom. but... just after expiry of g.tee the black ink will not print on any mode other than nozzle check.(hence-not print head). NO support from canon -will not reply to emails . Funny thing is that a quick trawl of the forums and lo and behold this is an on going problem with canon printers. As canon have a good name i am perplexed as to their ostrich approach. probably, page for page, my most expensive printer.0

ebuyer is always worth a look for good printer deals0

I once used ebuyer to try and save myself a bit of money and then it cost me a whole lot more in a another way, I'll leave it at that.
The cheapest printer I have seen though, is no suprise a Lexmark. It was £19.99 at Comet with a colour cartridge included. Not sure what model it was but it was certainly cheap, it looked it aswell

Boots stores have quite a good range of printers and you get points!0
