Economy 10 times
Hi Does anyone know what the Economy 10 peak/offpeak times are likely to be in the manchester area?
I live in a modern (2005) electric-only apartment with a Immersion hot water tank an electric-boiler fed central heating system.
When i last switched suppliers, they put me on a E10 tarriff - i never really thought much about it as due to the mild winter i didnt bother with central heating at all, and i just made sure the immersion heater only came on at 3-5am
I did ask my supplier and they came back with this which doesnt seem right:
I am very happy to advise your Economy 10 will come on at 4am to 12noon, then again at 3pm to 7pm, then again at 9pm to 11pm.
My average usage for the last 3 years is usually 55-65% at the "night" rate.
Cheers

the Off peak times of an E10 meter vary from region to region and the structure of the 10 off peak hours is determined by your local Distribution Network Operator.
i'm afraid i dont know the specific times in the Manchester region but the times are generally
3 hours in the afternoon (1pm - 4pm)
2 hours in the evening (8pm - 10pm)
5 hours overnight (Midnight - 5am) or (2am to 7am)0
