Am i protected at all?

I recently placed an order with a company called MultiMedia Fulfillment, who supplied me with an invoice for my order. I payed them via bank transfer but have not heard from them since, this was last monday. How protected am i seeing as i payed via a bank transfer but have an invoice? I'm beginning to get worried as their phone always seems to be disconnected and they have not replied to numerous emails. Thanks.

The banking system offers you no protection.
The legal system may be all you have.0 -
Would i take this matter to the police or a lawyer?opinions4u wrote: »The banking system offers you no protection.

Send them a signed for letter before action (LBA)0

Have they gone bust?
If yes, you need to contact their Administrator.
If no, you need to send them a Letter Before Action and then rias a Small Claims Court action.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
As fas as i know, they are still going. However i also tried to get a quote with them using a different email to see if they were taking other orders, and i haven't had a reply to the seperate email either. I've potentially got the guy's mobile number (guy that i exchanged emails with) no thanks to their website. Are there any costs to Court Action as the money payed to him is £466.80 ? Thanks!Have they gone bust?

Letter before action, then sue them through the small claims court. Then be prepared to take enforcement action - as having a claim is one thing - getting the money another.0

The suggested actions sound ok if it's a UK company. If it isn't, you might have to write off your money.
If they are a UK company and have gone bust, you may not get your money back ever, either.0 -
Any company that does not accept cards as a method of payment would not get an order from me.
OP you could have been scammed, the company might have gone bust or they are just bad at communicating with you.I hope its the latter.
Paying in advance to their bank account offers you no protection at all.0
