Tablet and Moshi Monsters

I was thinking about buying my 8 year old a tablet purely for moshi monsters and surfing the net and possibly some kind of word document.

Moshi monsters and other games require flash - does the likes of kindle fire/blackberry playbook etc have this ability? Or am I best off buying a laptop?

If wanted mainly for moshi monsters and other flash based games, then the blackberry playbook is the best of them, as it does support flash. And with 64gb memory, plenty of space.
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j
  • Almost any standard tablet would be okay for what you are looking for, just search around for the cheapest price

Flash is no longer supported for Android unless it is pre installed as far as I'm aware. You can still downloaded from the relevant Archive but at your own risk.

I have an android phone and flash was not pre installed and it could only be downloaded from the adobe archives.

Also i suspect you will need a reasonable spec Tablet ie dualcore etc for flash based sites to work well.

If you want to use word also then either a decent netbook/lap top would be better.
  • ?? I have flash based sites working perfectly on an old PC with single core AMP processor. Not a particularly fast one either. Flash on its own does not need a mega processor.

My phone runs on a 1ghz processer and 512 ram which is similar to many ordinary tablets. Whilst sites with flash work, they take a while to load etc.

I get the impression it is the same for average spec tablets as many people do not rate these for anything other than basic web surfing.
