Can the loan be written off ?

  • No point in looking for loopholes to pay off the debt. Even if it was written off (which is highly unlikely) it would have a detrimental effect on the credit rating anyway.

To clarify - yes my post was sarcastic, but I'm not 'mocking' anyone as such; what I'm mocking is the assumption that loans can just be 'written off' when things go awry.

For the record, I've experienced periods of financial difficulty in my life, the difference being I didn't blame others or seek to get out of the debts by methods other than not repaying them.
