Drive assist - what's going on?

My car was hit 3 weeks ago.
I am insured with esure.
Drive assist dealt with the claim.
Delivered my courtesy car and brought in Accident Repair Group to fix my car.
This was estimated to be fixed last Wednesday. I called Thursday and then had a new date of today of estimated date to be fixed.
Called Accident Repair Group and they have said the car is in its final stages but DRIVE ASSIST have not paid the 'release fee' and suggested I call DRIVE ASSIST.
I called them and they were not at all helpful, no information, all I got were that all claims were 'on hold' and no work was being carried out on any vehicles currently.
What?!
So, as I understand it, DRIVE ASSIST are not paying their bills? So my car is being held up and I cannot get it back until they pull their finger out?
I phoned esure, their systems are down and asked me to call back in an hour....
!!!!!! is going on?!?!
not one of the three companies is giving me any information as to what is going on!!
Anyone else currently in a similar situation?

You need to escalate this with your insurer (Assuming that they instructed drive assist.)0

I just had a call from Drive Assist saying they are no longer dealing with my claim and it's going back to the insurers. Don't know what's going on

I asked why and they said management at Drive Assist have told them to hand back all claims to insurance companies.Previous debt: £14K :embarasse Debt free: Sept '03

Just found out they've gone into admin on another forum.
Where does that leave me?
I've phoned esure and they are aware but apparently their systems are down, great!
What right do I have to go to the garage it's at and just taking it? I own it !!!!!!!0 -
As previously posted, if da were instructed by your insurer, then you need to get onto them.
Presumably they are inundated!0 -
Whilst it is unfortunate for anyone caught up in Drive (un)Assist administration trouble, the news they have gone has made my day.0

What if you have drive assists hire car? Are you entitled to keep it? Or do you have any rights concerning this?0

Carry on using their hire car until you're advised otherwise.January_James wrote: »What if you have drive assists hire car? Are you entitled to keep it? Or do you have any rights concerning this?
If you're asked to return the hire car without your vehicle being handed to you in return, I would refuse or ask your insurer (or whoever instructed Drive Assist) to provide an alternative hire car at their cost until your own vehicle has been returned to you.0
