Advice on dual layer DVD Rewriter

Could anyone tell me where I can buy a good quality DVD/CD rewriter? I'm told by a friend only to buy pioneer is this true? I would preferably like a dual layer but I'm told the discs are expensive but are gradually coming down in price. I would go to a maximum of about £40-£50 and I would like it to be in black although not essential. Thanks for any advice. This is my first post so hopefully I've done it right.

pioneer haave a very good reputation - but I'd happily buy other makes
dual layer discs are pricey - but are getting cheaper so it makes sense to buy a dual layer recorder and use single layer discs for now. Don't buy 1000s of disks try a few first some machines (even Pioneer) can be very fussy
try https://www.ebuyer.co.uk or https://www.scan.co.uk or https://www.bigpockets.co.uk or https://www.svp.co.ukTANSTAAFL !0 -
The pioneer 109 is an excellent and popular writer. The NEC's are meant to be good too, although I prefer Pioneer. I got mine from SVP, and excellent retailer
