Ford Focus Parcel Shelf
Hi,
Can't seem to find any sources online so thought I'd try here.
Yesterday I had to remove the parcel shelf from my 2004 (54 reg) Ford Focus in order to put something in the boot.
The hooks that hold up the shelf when you open the boot have poppers that clip it into place on the door.
The problem I'm having is that I can't get the damn thing to clip back into place. No matter how hard I push it just won't clip on.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or a special technique for Ford Focus Parcel Shelves? I would have thought a task like this would be easy, so feel slightly embarrassed to have to ask for help!
Many thanks.

There is a little ball on the hatch and a tear drop on the string. The tear drop has a little catch in it and it just pops on and off, the little catch stopping it from falling off. It takes no force at all to push it on, perhaps the little clip inside the tear drop has broken.0
