Dear KwikFit CS team,
I literally just got a phone call, presumably from your Gosport branch asking me if 'I'd like to book an MOT for my Subaru Impreza?' & when I told him 'I certainly wouldn't be booking with KwikFit' he said OK & tried to leave the call, I asked him why he didn't even ask the reason & he said 'well you've made up your mind so no point in trying to change it' - I then asked if he felt that it was acceptable that he didn't care why his branch (and the company) was losing a customer. So he hung up. Since your branch staff don't seem interested here is why you are losing a customer. Both the Stirling & Gosport branches of Kwik-Fit failed to correctly test the exhaust emissions on my car correctly resulting in MOT fails, your Gosport branch then quoted over £700 for a new Catalytic Convertor as the tester was adamant that I didn't have a CAT fitted (I did) I then took it to another garage where they fitted a new gasket (for £5 including labour) and then got it MOT'd elsewhere (it passed with not a single advisory). Prior to this I've been stung for parts that were not required by your garage & when repairs have been 'done' had to return cars to have them sorted because the workmanship was shoddy, the prime example of this would be the wheel that fell off while my sister was driving on an A road. Since you don't have a facebook page or any other public forum of communication (presumably so you can hide how terrible you are) rest assured this will find it's way on to plenty of car forums since your staff have no interest in listening to & learning from customers in order to improve.

Doubt I'll get a response, been almost a week now & no reply to the email so thought it would be worth letting others know about those two branches

Pretend to be an investigative journalist who simply put a car in to test the services of several garages in the area, and that Kwik-fit failed considerably and ranks the lowest of all tested through workmanship, quality, cost and honesty, and that you will therefore have to report on it.

Then ask them if any of their staff from that branch would volunteer to have their picture taken outside of the branch when the photographer can be scheduled in to come down and take pictures, and that you need them to sign an agreement form to allow additional newspapers being able to pre-print the story before you yourself do so. This will create the impression that it will appear on a number of papers

You could pretend to be from BBC Watchdog but they wouldn't believe you, Kwikfit are so familiar with Watchdog they must know all the investigators on sight!

They are on first name basis. A typical phone call to them would end in asking how "Martha, and the kids are doing".

They should make a video of how a car looks before and after going into Kwik-Fit... It can kind of be like an episode of "pimp my ride" in reverse
