I want to make a pergola shade

Hi

I want to make a pergola shade, the pergola is 13x6 feet and I want to shade that expanse, I have had a look around for the material that is used to make garden parasols, but I cannot find what I want. Does anyone know where I can get material like this.

Pergolas are quire simple to make. Just get some 100 mm x 50 mm wood beams from your local wood merchant or Wickes etc for the cross beams and 100mm or 150 mm square posts for the risers.

I made one last year to shade the pond. I covered the top with bamboo - looks good and was quite cheap to DIY.

I made the pergola already, last year, I now want to get some outdoor material like they use for parasols to make a shade to stretch under it when the sun is at its brightest and hotest.

Oh i get it yes as i mentioned i used bamboo but i know Wickes did cloth type coverings for them last year - not looked this year though.
