I've had an interesting Email this morning from the OU about what we should be doing if we become a victim of computer fraud, or scams which increase over Christmas.
Hope others may find it helpful.

If you are the victim of a computer crime, you need to report it to make sure that the issue is logged with the appropriate authorities. It may be part of a pattern and logging it may help to reveal the pattern.
Sophos has just produced a helpful guide to best practice in doing this for yourself. The link describes the procedure for a 'Fake Antivirus' attack, and there are links to other advice on the right of the page.
If you report a crime or a fraud you should not reveal your username and password.
