    Well he does have to be positive when it comes to the economy, but I fear he might have dug a hole for himself.

    He's just guessing, really, as he states:
    Asked on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show whether he thought the UK would face a triple dip recession, Mr Alexander said: "The OBR forecast that the final quarter of this year would be negative, but that we would see positive growth slowly returning in every quarter of next year.

    "That would suggest that we're not going to have that happening. But it is an uncertain world out there.

    "We're seeing continuing problems in the eurozone, but I'm happy to rest on the OBR's forecast, which is a bounce-back from the Olympic boost we saw in the third quarter causing a small negative in the final quarter of this year, but then steady growth slowly starting to return next year and the year after that."
    The BBC title is a little misleading, in that it puts a slant on what he actually stated.

    I know, they are little tinkers.

    He has the "get out of jail free" card too

    "but I'm happy to rest on the OBR's forecast,"

    I am just glad the OBR aren't targeting predator missiles.

    Don't worry, your wet dream of a triple dip is still a possibility.

    Just put it on the list along with;

    The NHS is safe in our hands.
    We pledge not to put up tuition fees.
    We will keep our triple A rating.
    There will be no double dip recession in Britain. (George Osborne Nov. 2011)

    I could list a dozen forum members who would love it to happen.

    If that's the case then you really have to wonder what goes on in their minds. Perhaps they are miserable in their lives and want others to be?

    What's the saying, misery loves company?
