Does anyone know where I may get the cheapest xd cards ?
I would refer 512Mb or 1Gb and Olympus would be my first choice.
I have tried mymemory.co.uk and memorycardzoo but they stilll seem a little pricey compared to other formats.
With many companies it seems that a cheap price quickly gets bumped up by p+p charges which makes quite a difference as Im only after a single card.
Thanks

I use these
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.php?cat=6&type=6060&man=0&filterwords=&go=SEARCH&comp=
But I buy film from them too so can live with the del charge. A bit slow (7 days max), but excellent prices.
Whats the difference between type M & type H?
Type M are generally for the older models.
Type H is up to 3x faster
Type H does not work with all older cameras (you need to check your manuals).
Type H cards are required in newer models to capture video at high rate (640x480x30), type M cards would simply not be able to keep up.
There is a compatability pdf on this website too.0 -

not sure who sells the cheapest, but for speed, find the cheapest online, print info out, and take to Jessops as they will price match. Check branding though.
Thanks

Really ! I went in there last week (Cribs in Bristol) and they weren't interested in matching anyone else's prices. I was even told that they don't do that !!
(and I wanted close to a grands worth of stuff A D80 and a Fuji 6500).
Their loss, I went somewhere else.... (and I won't be going back).0 -
Thanks for the links eveybody.
I can confirm too that Jessop have stopped their price match.0 -
Try an put the spec, or model you want into https://www.froogle.co.uk and compare the prices.
Amazon are sometimes very competitive as are https://www.mymemory.com
Watch out for buying high-spec / large size cards on eBay, many are cheap brands, rebranded to look like high-quality cards from SanDisk and other good brands. Buyer-beware!0 -
Thanks guys. I went for memorybits.co.uk who did the 1GB olympus card at £14.12 and took advantage of the £10 off £30 google checkout offer.
Card ordered Sunday night, arrived today (tuesday). Very impressed.0
