PC Weirdness

Hi everyone
our PC is doing some weird things.
when we start it up sometimes and connect to teh internet it is carrying out the mouse commands but does not register any keyboard entries and say I try to logon to yahoo it will close down the page and go back to my home page.
It does the same thing for my wife when she starts up.
strangely enough logging off and signing on as a different user solves the problem!
so has anyone any ideas what the problem is down to and how to solve it?
is it internet related or user accounts related or anything else?
Cheers

HI Browntoa
yes I can do all those things , it does seem strange though that regardless of whose user name we logon as,. switching user to the other sorts it out.
If it is malware surely it would affect all users or only one specifically?0 -
it's not unknown, have seen this beforeEx forum ambassador

Sounds very much like malware to me. Usually, re-logging in will start all processes from scratch (unless it's a session from remote access).
If it were a profile corruption of some sort, it wouldn't be resolved by changing user / logging in.
I'd install some ant-spyware kit and make sure you aint got anything nasty.Throwing acid is bad.... in some peoples eyes...0
