HappyMJ, your guess is correct. I don't use electricity for heating at all. If the difference between the typical 80/20 or my mis-recorded 74/26 and my actual 63/37 is only £20 over 3.5 years, or under 50p per month, it's not worth waiting until 00:30 to start the washing machine or otherwise change my consumption pattern! If this is true, I wish I knew that earlier!
You might be better off considering a meter change to a standard meter so all of your units can be purchased for a cheaper rate.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
