Wondered if anyone can answer this one -
A couple of weeks ago i did a system restore and have noticed that the following files have appeared in the main c drive, seperate from my Apps, Document & settings, my Music, Programme Files, and Windows folders -
DWNLOG
MCDLOG
NTDETECT
NTLDR
SAUDIT
UPDFLOP.TAG
Yesterday when i went to use the pc, i got an initial error stating "disk read error - press ctrl-alt-delete to restart.
I again had to do a system restore.
These files are still located here, but am sure they weren't there before, and just doesn't look right.
I am running xp media centre.
Any advise is appreciated,
