Thanks for your advice i will probably just get a car from a garage and get it on hp i went in yesterday and got approved for a 20k loan i would have preferred to buy my friends car but never mind . I find it strange after everything you have all said about earnings to available credit ratio that the hp company have approved 20k loan , with no deposit .

Thats because its secured on the car, not sure what happens when you miss a payment if the car is taken off you.

Not sure on the pitfalls of HP so you will have to read the contract etc.
  • Owning a £20k car on a £35k salary - glad you have got your priorities sorted.

Earning £35k in cash, your company must use big pay envelopes!

    A suitcase/hold could hold more.
  • As you didn't say how you were paid when I posted - my reply has now changed to It will be difficult for you to get the loan unless you pay the cash into the bank every week. They might even want a letter of confirmation of your salary from your employer.

Whether it is a one man band or multi national it is not difficult to organise wages to be paid into a bank account.
  • What a genius. Doesn't know it's fraudulent to lie to get a loan and gets into 20k debt on "35k" cash in hand salary.
