My new returns policy
Comments

I don't bother with a complicated return policy. The way I see it anything I write will be over ridden by ebay. Like you I am a small seller, and just accept returns as the cost of selling.0

The only policy you need is that they buyer pays to send it back. Anything else is a waste of time.0

If the buyer is unhappy, they have up to 45 days to raise a SNAD dispute, so your "7 days" is meaningless. (And yes, buyers will find a reason why it's SNAD even when it's really a case of buyer's remorse).sparky0138 wrote: »If you are not completely satisfied with your item, you may return it to me in its original condition and in its original packaging (if practical) for a refund within 7 days of receipt.Philip0 -
Like a lot of others, as soon as I see a huge block of writing about terms and conditions I hit the back button and look for another seller.
In my mind, I think I'm more likely to have problems with a seller who has a list of t's and c's as long as your arm, rather than one who just describes the object they are selling.Early retired - 18th December 2014

I buy stuff from sellers who put no returns the bidding is usually slower.
It puts people off.
Also stating you wont refind postage... Thats a good one.. I would buy the item and hope its not what as described or what i expected to see your reactions when paypal refiund me the whole amount including postage and i leave you negative saying you refused to refund postage...
Silly terms are not a good idea.....Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If I saw a returns like that I pass by even though I have 100% feedback buyer with over 10 years buying it would put me right off anyone who put terms in like that, you come across as possible having issues with some buyers, not all of us out there are scammers or trouble causes0

I'm rather surprised OP gave up without a fight or arguing it out.
I'm someone who'd rather support people with reasonable terms even if I pay slightly more - it's peace of mind. When I've taken a bit of a gamble I've usually come away with something not quite up to expectations so I decided life was too short to take risks.
Sometimes it's a matter of 'least worst' but if that is the case I will usually go and look on another site e.g. Amazon or Play and nine times out of ten the quality is a lot higher anyway and the prices similar if not even slightly less."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
