Is it 26 or 52 weeks you have to have been on benefits for to qualify for In work credit?

im being told different information!

Also if its 26 weeks and you start work exactly 26 weeks after u first claimed IS would you qualify???

The return to work credit is for 52 weeks, payable after 26 weeks on the relevant benefit.

sorry dont think i wrote that properly or im being stupid!

So if iv been on IS for 26 weeks do i qualify? i cant get a straight answer from the relevant people as they say i started work exactly 26 weeks after i first claimed IS x

I have to swallow my words and apologise the return to work credit is available to you if you have been on IS (or one of the other means tested benefits) for more than 13 weeks and meet the other criteria.

I know I don't qualify for return to work credit but maybe in work credit? That's a help tho so thanks! x
