Google used to have a button on the left hand side to select "uk pages only" which seems to have disappeared
Have I managed to turn it off or have google got rid? Or did I dream it was there in the first place?

They have got rid of all the options down the left hand side, and instead put them in the middle below the search box. (Once you've got the initial set of results:-) If you click "Search Tools" below the search box, then (when the next bar appears immediately below), click the dropdown next to "The Web" - you'll be able to select "Pages from the UK"

Is it just me or has google got slower over the last week or two?
I use FF latest version and have resorted to using bing."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

I've been finding it slow during working hours, I've had to resort to Bing a few times too.0

whilst I'm on, can anyone refresh my memory as to how to get rid of the web page suggestions you get in FF when you open a second tab?0 -
open a new tab and look to the top right of the page, you'll see 9 small grey boxes, that's the toggle for web page suggestions...three clicks and a post on MSE

Personally I use the "New Tab Homepage 0.4.3" extension/add-on. Opens your home page for every new tab.three clicks and a post on MSE
