I find that my connection to newnet hangs when idle for a few minutes, especially if I'm watching videos off youtube.
I cant reconnect either, I have to reboot my pc before I can get back on the net.
I dont know whats doing this ? Its doing my head in keep rebooting all the time
I'll probably find that my connection has hanged again whilst writing this and I'll have to retype it all again
Newnet have advised to check there arent any cables unplugged  How can I submit a ticket if its unplugged I told them ?
any ideas ?

UPNP is "Universal Plug & Play". There will be a setting in your router config screen that says it's enabled somewhere. What router have you got?553780080

I just tried it on mine.
Go to Start > Control Panel> network and internet connections > network connections
then right click on your broadband (mine says Speedtouch Connection) connection icon and go to properties, then select the option tab. There is the idle time setting.
Good luck.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
redial attempts...0
time between redial attempts......1 second
idle time before hanging up..........never
redial if line is dropped........tick
