lost tax disc

Hi all ,I bought my tax disc on line last week and went on to loose the paper tax disc after it arrived .What do I do next please ? thanks for reading .

tell DVLA it arrived and you lost it = get new one for £7 https://www.gov.uk/apply-duplicate-tax-disc

tell DVLA it never arrived = get new one for free (but you go to hell for telling lies)

Supposed to contact them within 7 days, But when my scooter one got lost it was a couple of weeks later.

I explained that i didnt use it all the time and just went to use it and noticed that i had not received the new one.

I was not going to pay £7 for a £14 or £15 disc.
