Chromebook vs Nexus 7 / Nexus 10

I'm thinking of getting either the new Chromebook or one of the Nexus tablets (7 or 10).
The purpose for the purchase is to be able to do internet surfing/emailing/possibly some Excel editing on the go i.e on trains and buses.
Does either the Chromebook or Nexus 7 have any major advantage/drawbacks relative to the other?
Also - am I correct in thinking that there is no 3G version of Google Nexus 10 at the moment? Is there anything similar on the horizon?
And the 3G version of the Nexus 7 is near impossible to get hold of at the moment (sold out on the Google play site) - does anyone know of somewhere that stocks it?
Thanks!

Well the Chrome book has a keyboard which the tablets don't, making it a lot easier if you're going to do a bit of emailing and excelling.
The Nexus devices run Android so they're pretty powerful in terms of what they can do and there's a lot of apps available and community support.
The Chrome book however runs a glorified version of the Chrome browser - its a lot more limited in what it can do (it ain't gonna do half the things Windows could) and though you can download apps from the Chrome store, I don't think there's as much choice in the app's available, particularly as a lot of Chrome apps need Internet access to run.
I'd suggest going to a Currys store and have a play with both - see how you feel about the Chrome book and if you're comfortable with how it runs.0 -
The Nexus 7 is smaller, lighter, more portable, easier to fit in a bag.
