I got one cause when we bought the house the gas bloke said it was an old boiler and by the looks of the actual fire its self, he wasn't kidding!!
We got ours from William Wilson.
It cost quite abit but it was still cheaper than putting a boiler else where and having to do something with the chimney breast.
We got an inset one and its worth the money.....I am thinking...but it was about 4 years ago that it would have cost about £3000 all in...marble fireplace,boiler and fire etc but we knew someone that worked there and he got it for us for less than 2k so not bad for us.
Places wanted £1500 to fit it, again we knew someone (corgi reg) who did it for ..well it was either £250 or £500...sorry but this guy has done a few things for us and the prices are vague now.
Good luck and at the end of the day you are going to have a lovely fireplace.
When you click on the above post the one we got looks VERY much (fire surround too) like the inset KS model.
