Thinking of installing a new boiler - please advice

Hi Folks

I have an old Baxi solo powered boiler and arranged an installation for a new boiler - a vaillant 418 open vent boiler. I am not very good at these type of things, so was wondering what things I could check/look out for, to make sure the gas man does a good job of fitting in my new boiler?

    Wether the installer has done a 'proper' job, is impossible to say until the system has been up and running for some months, but if there are errors they are likely to show up immediately.

    If fitting a Valliant boiler is the installers recommendation, he's no cowboy as Valliant are about the best there is

    The first thing to check is that your 'gas man' is a a registered GSR RGI-check his ID on the GSR site.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
