I have just sold my house yey! I am on a standard tariff with Scottish power for my gas and electricity as my contract has ran out not so yey! I move in March so do I just stay put or switch for 3 months ?

    I would look on the comparison sites for the cheapest tariff with Scottish Power. Channge to that.

    From now till March is the most expensive part of the year for Gas & Elec bills, particularly the Gas, so getting cheaper supplies is good

    However if you Switch suppliers it can take 6 weeks to go through, so your best bet is swap to another SP tariff, which is a change that can be done immediately.

    Moving home is a 'Get-out-jail- Free' Card so far as lock-in tariffs are concerned, so it doesn't matter how long you sign up for to get a good price.

    As it's going to typically take 4-6 weeks to change supplier, I suggest you call Scottish Power and get on their cheapest deal for you today!

  • Just switched from British Gas to Scottish Power on Martin's say-so and am now saving £400 per annum across both gas and electricity. Wooohoo!:money:
