How did you get on this morning, Monsieur Bob?
This seemed so important to you over the last 48 hours, I'm sure you would have acted by now

Yes there is - as above take them to the Ombudsman. They charge suppliers a fee (said to be £350 on here previously) to look at your case.
It costs you nothing and if you have a genuine credit balance and are no longer a customer they can hardly refuse to tell Npower to refund it.
Npower are obliged to follow the Ombudsmans resolution whether they like it or not. You have a choice not to accept it.
To be fair in spite of your doubts the Npower reps above statement is perfectly correct - any company should be requiring some form of authorisation from your Mum before discussing her account with you (speaking to her & then passing the phone to you would do). A letter is however traceable, provable & ongoing (unless it says otherwise) whilst phone calls are often not in case of later query / dispute, poor noting of the authorisation etc.0 -
Its the law surrounding dpa, unless the op has power of the court order. If not she wont even be allowed to raise a complaint with any companyDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
