What should I do?

I have been living in my flat for nearly 18 months now and had freeview but there's no outside aerial and the pic quality has always been a bit dodgy but nothing a quick re-scanning of channels didn't fix.
Lately it has become much worse and I've had a quote for outside aerial the cheapest so far being £145, but I've been thinking about digital tv as there are a few channels I don't get on Freeview that I would really like to have.
The freeholder of my building has said I can't get Sky, so considered cable-spoke to Homechoice and because my phone is Talk Talk, they can't do it, has to be a BT line. Virgin Media want me to move my phone to them or else I pay £25 a month for just TV. I don't want it that much! Still under contract to Talk Talk and don't want to pay £70 to quit. Was surprised to learn there aren't any other providers.
I'm now in a dilemma as to what to do? Should I just install an aerial and stick to my Freeview box in true MSE spirit? Maybe if I found a cheaper quote for the aerial instal, any ideas?
Thanks

Hi savingjunkie,
You should get more help with this on the In My Home board so I've moved your thread over there.

What kind of internal aerial are you using, because they are not all the same and I remember from my renting days that price is not an indicator of ability to do the job. You might want to nip down to somewhere with a generous returns policy (Argos?) and buy another couple and see if there is any improvement.0
