Council Tax Support????

Mine haven't said what the increase will be (if any) so I guess when I get the bill in April I will know.
The lack of comms is shocking around this I'll admit and it is a postcode lottery. I saw on this site that someone's council is only discounting Band A, others pay 100%!
That is plain ridiculous to me personally.
Mine have published a very comprehensive guide even based on prescriptions, carers, childcare and other expenses.
Ie if you can show you pay the above, they will negate this from your income. So parents will high childcare, people who pay for prescriptions and carers etc will pay less or nothing. It's acutally a well thought out for us. JSA pay far less than a LP with high Tax Credits. Disabled (ESA or DLA) are exempt. The only thing I disagree with is parents of children under 5 on IS are exempt and sorry but I think TC make up for this. workers with children under 5 are not!0 -

I have always said I appreciate how INDIVIDUALS are affected. My GGM was blind (fully with zero sight), but I also see how individuals can't be treat as the majority. The decisions weren't made with individuals in mind.
Take the scenario of my friend. He earns 65K and will be in hardship when his CB stops.
I can't say the decision to STOP CB for 60K plus is wrong even though I wish they'd look at single parents and childcare and adjust. Overall the decision is correct (some loose).
Same with the Bedroom Tax - I can't say overall it isn't a good decision. yes I think disabilities should be considered but I don't make the rules.0
