So, online estate agents then? Very likely to be using one when we put our place on the market in the new year.
Anyone used them? Feedback, good or bad? Any tips/things to particularly watch out for?
Ta v much indeed for any input.

Revisiting this! Have any folks used online estate agents? Any good or bad feedback?0

I used Homesale Bureau and was very pleased. I only put my house on for one day and I had a viewer and they put an offer in the next day. Homesale were very attentive especially during the negotiation part of getting a completion date where the buyers were playing up. They made it easy and I saved loads of money. I would recommend them definitely!nelsons_column wrote: »Revisiting this! Have any folks used online estate agents? Any good or bad feedback?0 -
Sorry, missed your response, thanks ever so much. Hadn't seen them before, will peruse their website.0

Unless they have knowledge of your area they can't value your property and are unlikely to be very concerned about flolowing up to make sure sale actually proceeds.
How can they check things like whether the buyer can get his mortgage etc?RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
Try a forum search. There's plenty of previous threads on this topic, and it would appear that nobody wants to repeat what they posted in earlier threads.0

Aye have now done a forum search, wading my way through one or two of the longer threads.
Valuations - had a couple of local estate agents around and they both said exactly the same figure, and YBS need to get their own valuation done anyway. So that's fine.
As for how they check whether the potential buyer can afford it - one would assume they do like any other estate agent - they ask them.0
