digihome pvr80 and astratec topd2 box?

i am about to buy my first budget pvr and hope someone can maybe help me as i ahve a question before i buy the digihome pvr80.
i have setanta set up through my astratec box. can i record this straight onto the pvr using a scart lead and will i be able to watch another programme whilst this is recording?
thanks for any help and advice anyone can give me as i am just starting out in the pvr world
