Green Flag renewal

I recently got my Green Flag renewal document through the post which was going to be £72 for Recovery Plus which seemed a bit steep. This supposedly included a NCD allowance for not calling them out last year.
Thinking it a bit steep I got a quote through the green Flag web site and for exactly the same policy it came to £58 without any NCD. Booking it through Quidco got me another £20 off.
In total I have ended up paying £38 instead of the £72 they wanted with my renewal document.
Is this another case of companies treating their current customers with contempt and giving the best deals to new customers.
