Ohhh Ava sorry to hear things are tough with your OH ...... I hope you can sort things out and, setting a time frame on this is good as otherwise things can just plod along and before you know it years have passed - often with both parties being unhappy but also try not to put too much pressure on yourselves - if things are improving after 6 months but not perfect, re-assess how it's going and see whether you can give it a bit longer or whether it's better to cut your loses so to speak .... best of luck

One thing that's not nice to think about but you must give some consideration to if the relationship isn't the most stable - you need to sort out whose debts are whose- or are they all joint?
