Redundancy payment - charity run pre school

Help please - i was advised in October that i would be redundant as of 21 December, given a letter confirming my redundancy pay. I work for a charity run pre school. Today the treasurer has come in and told us she will not be able to pay us our redundancy pay on the 21st and unless we raise enough funds through selling equipment she will not be able to pay it. She had previously stated in a meeting in October that if we closed at Christmas we had enough money to cover all costs, but now says she miscalculated. How do we get our redundancy pay? Thanks
