Builders gave wrong address !!

Just had a call from my solicitor, the builders gave me the wrong address on all my reservation forms, my door is No 10, not 12.
So now my mortgage offer, valuation & all paper work got wrong address on it.
Solicitor didn't seem too concerned as the plot is correct, but how long do you think this will delay the exchange.
Solicitor wants to exchange this coming Thursday. But talked to my MA and he said the lender will need to reissue offer... Will this be straight forward?
She said it could take 2-3 days to reissue.
I don't want to sign / exchange till I have offer on the right address!
Or am I making this more of an issue than it is?
Thanks

Well, at least you will have a house to live in at some stage. Think of the poor Fenchman who contracted a builder to renovate his chateau and demolish the next-door house. He came back from holiday to find they had demolished his 16th-century chateau & started renovating the house next door as they 'misunderstood the instructions'.Never Knowingly Understood.

As long as the valuation was done on the correct plot then I can't imagine it being a problem. I'm buying a new build too and my pot number was on the valuation. You can request a copy of this if you don't have it already. Which lender? I'm with Nationwide and asked them to re-issue my offer with a new rate. This happened very quickly. Couple of days.0

The solicitor is the person you are paying to make this happen (and to give you their professional advice) If the solicitor say it is not a problem then why would you expect better or different advice either on here or from your mortgage advisor?0 -
Similar thing happened to me in a rush to exchange and complete by a certain date, the bank mistyped the address on the formal mortgage offer. Had to be re-issued and signed off all over again, but with some hounding by me and my solicitor it was sorted that same day (although was a very stressful day).
So in summary you will probably be fine!0 -

This was a Russian who wanted to remodel his chateau without having to bother with the heritage conditions on the listed building. No mistakes were made there, just another case of laws not applying to the 1%.0 -
It wont' cause much of an issue. Your contract is to purchase the right plot so that is fine. The SDLT form needs the correct address but they probably won't have started that yet and definately won't have submitted yet. Just call up your lender and explain the issue, they'll have no problems in changing the address because it is a new build.
My mortgage lender spelt the name of my road incorrectly, it hasn't caused an issue but then everything else was correct.0 -
I think this quite common. Similar thing happened to me - plot number and house number were different. Easily sorted0
