Anyone used company called Smart Insurance?

My husband has had a quote over the phonr for Life Insurance from a company called Smart Insurance (they are advertising on TV now for policies with guaranteed acceptance/no medicals). We tried these as he has diabetes and has been turned down by every company we have tried.
They came back and said he would definately be covered and quoted a premium.
My husband said he just wanted to try a couple of other brokers for some comparisons if he could get them but the 'salesman' from smart was quite pushy and insisted he had to sign up there and then and give his credit card details over the phone. He has since been calling 2 or 3 times every day.
He has refused to provide any sort of illustration with the figures so we can compare before we decide.
Do they not have to provide any paperwork before you sign up if it is insurance?
I know when we redid our mortgage we were given paperwork before we did any formal application as they had to provide this so we could be sure we were happy.
Has anyone else used this company? and is there anything I can request from them before we agree to anything??
Thanks for any help
