Benefit Question

Hi, I Currently Have Been Told That I Am Eligible BY The Inland Revenue for Working Tax Credit, I Am 22, After Going Through Alot of Trouble I Recieved A Letter Saying I Needed to be 25 to Recieve it, I Tried Again Was told I was Eligible Even After Telling Them My Age, When I Quizzed Them of The Former Letter Recieved I Was Told 'Oh Yes, You Age Your Not Eligible' When I Asked a Reason I Was Told 'We Dont Know Its Just Like That', I've Tried To Get Advice From Citizens Advice Bureau to no Avail I Cant Find or Get Any Information From Them So I Would Like to Ask Here.

I Earn £11,900 per Year Before Tax Around £9000+ After Tax, I Am 22, No Children and a Housemate Who Splits the Rent Down With Me Evenly, I Work 44 Hours a Week and Am Curious if Anyone Knows WHY I Am Not Entitled or Am I and The Goverment is Trying to Pull a Fast One On Me.

Thank You,
Sincerely Mike
