Would never have paid £6 each but 13p each felt rather MSE. :rotfl:

I only ever found one Mary Berrys at around £2, there were none left in my store when they reduced further.

If any cooks are up how long do you think I should cook the combined 2kg mix in a 9 inch cake tin for? The 1kg mix should have gone in a 7 inch tin for 2 1/2 hours.

Did you get them at 13p recently? I've been looking out for a fruit cake mix reduced-am keeping my eye on the waitys ones, currently half price, but still £5!!

I did that last year with the Mary Berry cake and sat up really late with it in the oven;)I'm not the best cake cook but I'd stick a knife in it a 3.5 hours to see how its doing:)

What temperature did you cook yours on Nikki, have it on Gas Mark 2 but see dave thinks it may have been an idea to have it on lower. It has already been in 2 1/4 hours.
  • Me 1.10 lol :)

I can't remember but it was quite low (Whatever it said on the packet;)) But mine did catch slightly. I iced it in snow peaks because it wasnt to level but it tasted delicious;)
